(February 2025) Motorcar Archive Contributions and Donations

Recently the Motorcar Manual archive received two donations in the form of physical and digital media.

Starting off the month we have Tom Tomacco who provided scans of Tamper motorcar manuals and advertisements along with a short article on the history of Tamper Motorcars. The scans provided are the first Tamper motorcar manuals I have ever seen. They will be a great addition to the library. Thank you Tom!

Secondly, we have a physical donation and digital contribution from Daryl Wright. If that name sounds familiar, then you 've likely owned a Fairbanks Morse motorcar at some point in your life. Daryl is responsible for having a very large portion of FM/Sheffield records archived and has helped countless people find the birth papers for their motorcars. Daryl contacted me a few weeks back about donating some Kalamazoo motorcar records which he had in his collection. Most of these documents include original binders and advertisements from Kalamazoo as well as some photocopies of company photos. Additionally, Daryl has given permission for me to host a digital photocopy of a Fairbanks Morse Model 101 sales brochure that he had sent to me a while back. This brochure is incredibly rare and has only shown up for sale online a handful of times . Thank You Mr. Wright!
